WACKER’s headcount rose by 5.3 percent (731 employees) in 2018, while 2017 had seen an increase of 2.7 percent (363 employees). The major reasons for this growth were the start-up of production in Tennessee in the USA (2017), high utilization rates at our production plants (2018) and the integration of WACKER BIOSOLUTIONS’ new site in Amsterdam.

Germany accounts for around 70 percent of employees, while the remaining 30 percent are based elsewhere. 96 percent of WACKER employees groupwide have permanent contracts.
